  I was referred to Dr. Walsh by another doctor of mine who told me that Dr. Walsh was one of the best hand surgeons you could go to. But he isn't, he didn't spend much time with me, and when he was supposed to do surgery on one of my fingers to repair what is called a Swan Neck, with a tendon that was keeping me from bending my finger, he didn't do any of the repairs he was supposed to do, I honestly can't tell you what he did to my finger, and the surgery didn't take even 15 to 20 minutes, when I went back for my follow up he removed the stitches and I had asked about the Swan Neck if he had repaired it, I was told that all he did was fix a tendon to where it would slide back into the sheath it had come out of, and that he was going to send me to this lady who would take measurements of my finger to be able to make a special brace for me to wear, when I asked if insurance was going to pay for it, I was told no, that I would have to pay for it out of pocket, and that it would cost a little over $300, I told them that I was going to think about it and let them know, because I could not afford to pay that kind of money for a brace for my finger, that was supposed to have been repaired during the surgery, and the part of my hand that is just below my finger he was supposed to repair had a hard knot come up in the incision area, when I went back to my doctor who referred me to Dr. Walsh he asked how everything went, and I told him I was very upset about the whole situation no Dr. Walsh didn't do any of the repairs to my finger that he was supposed to do, I showed him the knot on my hand, and he got upset and said that he didn't understand why Dr. Walsh didn't do what i(my doctor who referred me to Dr. Walsh) had told him to, and when I told him about the special brace Dr. Walsh wanted made for my finger and the cost, he had one of the employees come in look at the size of my finger and next thing I knew the employee came back with a brace for my finger and it did cost me a thing. Please be careful if you have to go see Dr. Walsh, and don't let him push you into anything you don't feel comfortable with.
